Jean Busk

May 16, 1923 — June 25, 2013

Jean Pauline Fellows Busk, age 90, peacefully entered heaven on June 25, 2013 at her home in Cottonwood. She was born on May 16, 1923 in Mingo Junction, Ohio. Jean celebrated life; she rejoiced every day the life of her Lord, her family, her friends, and her animals. She listened; she prayed; she wrote; and she engaged the world she lived. Always caring, she spent years raising her own children, then later nurtured the growth and development of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent years serving the Cottonwood and Verde Valley community, notably in her roles as a "Pink Lady" volunteer at the hospital and the Verde Valley Caregivers. Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Jackson Eugene Busk, and sister, Grace Martinez. She is survived by her sister Margaret Ann Waits of Mingo Junction, Ohio; her five children, Susan Margaret Coles of Cottonwood, Christopher Eugene (Laurie) Busk of Prescott Valley, Victoria Jean (Ken) Ligon of Las Vegas, Kendra Elizabeth (Mike) Brogdon of Cottonwood, and Kathleen Ann Birney of Cottonwood; eleven grandchildren Kelly Coles, Jennifer (Anthony) Franco, Christina (Anthony) Montiel, , John (Diana) Ligon, Victoria Anne (Richard) Forrester, Lisa Busk, Andrew Busk, Michala (Kirk) Ralston, Melissa (Kevin) Douglas, Brooke-Ann (Branden) Welsh, Jacob Birney, and ten great-grandchildren, Breanna, Konnor, Rylan, Ethan, Kolton, Reese, Aiden, Racyn, Percy and Riggs. She will be greatly missed by all but her memory will live on through all who loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a charity if your choice. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
