Jerold L. Kingsbury, 93, a resident of Sedona died November 2. He was born April 1, 1910 in Los Angeles, California and remembered when the city had gaslights. He worked for Douglas Aircraft Company from 1938 to 1958, during World War II he was helping manufacture war aircraft. He retired to Camp Verde and then moved to Sedona. Mr. Kingsbury and his wife enjoyed traveling and visiting their children and grandchildren who live coast to coast. He enjoyed reading and had been active in the Church of Religous Science. He leaves his wife, Evelyn M. Kingsbury; two sons, Robert L. (and his wife Penny) Kingsbury of Fairfax Station, Virginia and David E. (and his wife Nanci) Kingsbury of Lakewood, California; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A memorial reception will be held on Thursday, November 6 in the Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., Cottonwood at 1 PM. The family asks that donations in his memory be made to the Sedona Fire District, 2860 Southwest Drive, Sedona 86336 to purchase additional equipment for the EMTs or to the American Cancer Society, 2724 E.
