John Robert Allen, of Camp Verde, born January, 1950 in Tacoma Wa, passed away on March 2nd in Camp Verde, Az. after a year long battle with cancer. There is a special place for John in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. John will always be remembered as an exceptional husband, a wonderful father, and a loyal friend. John lived his life doing for others, and making certain his family was well cared for in the only way that matters with tremendous love, support and respect. John is survived by his wife, Gaylene Allen (Smithson/Lee), mother, Doris Allen of Tacoma, Wa, Daughter Emily Horner (Bobby) stationed in Okinawa, Japan, son Robert Allen of Mesa, Az. stepdaughter Carolyn Cook (Rick) of Gold Canyon, Az, sister Carol Allen of Tacoma, Wa. and grandson William Horner (cutest baby ever). Predeceased by his father, Mark Allen and brother Larry Allen, both of Tacoma, Wa. John loved his country and was fiercely patriotic. He loved and appreciated our veterans and never failed to thank them for their service, and for fighting for our freedom. He had the greatest respect for our active duty military, and was so proud of his daughter\u0027s career in the Air Force. John\u0027s life will be celebrated with a family memorial service in the coming days.
