John S. Coles of Prescott Valley passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. He was 74 years old. He was born on March 18, 1940 in Olean, NY to Judge and Helen (Harvison) Coles. He attended Bradford Area High and worked for Corning Glass Works for 32 years. Later, in Arizona he was the business owner of John S. Coles, Inc., which was responsible for the Quick Country Store, #1 Food Store and Beaver Creek Gas Mart. He enjoyed hunting and competition shooting. John will be dearly missed by family, friends, and many loyal customers. John was preceded in death by his brother, William Conklin and his sister, Shirley Blauser. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Linda Coles of Prescott Valley; his sons, Jeff (Rainey) Coles of Bradford, PA and Todd (Lydia) Coles if Sevilla, Spain; his daughter, Robin (Curt) Wilber of Cottonwood; his brothers, Robert (Linda) Coles of Bedford, NH and Ed Frost of Florida; his sister, Jean (John) Mathys of Bradford, PA and 7 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave, Cottonwood, AZ 86326 at 10:30 A.M.
