John R Toler II, 67, of Cottonwood, AZ, passed away on July 31, 2014. He was born on December 5, 1946 in Williamson, WV to John R. and Winogene Toler. He attended school in Riverside, CA until graduation. John worked at Security National Bank, various offices, from Riverside, CA, 29 Palms, CA and Indio, CA, from 1966 through 1976. His last position held with them was as Operations Manager. John then pursued the auto industry. He was General Sales Manager of Marshall Motor Cars, Yucca Valley, CA from June 1976 through June of 1997. John moved to Cottonwood, AZ after the dealership sold in June 1997. He then went to work for Oxendale Chrysler in Cottonwood as their finance manager from 1997 through July of 1998 before moving on to Ash Motors to be the manager from 1998-2001. John wore many hats, because after this he went to work for the Verde Independent as the Circulation Manager from October 2001 through January of 2006. He then went on to Griffith Enterprises as an Electronics Assembler from March of 2006 through March of 2009. John was very much into sports even when he wasn\u0027t getting around. He had NASCAR for every race and loved our Arizona Diamondbacks and bragging about his \u0027mancave\u0027. John was preceded in death by his loving parents, John and Winogene Toler; his sister Melissa Toler; his step-son Jesse Timm and his great granddaughter Arayanna Mitruk. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Maria "Marie" Toler; sons John "Remy" R. Toler III (Desiree) and Matthew Toler; stepsons John Timm (Charlene), Rick "Timi" Timm and Earnest "Earnie" Timm (Christina); daughter-in-law Jennifer "Jen"; sister Melissa "Jeannie" Toler; grandchildren Spencer, Abby, Tiffanie, Darrin, Charles, Tina, Krystal, Johnny, Britney, Joshua, Latisha, Jesse and Willy; and 10 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way. Services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 10:30am at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood. An online guestbook is available to sign at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
