John D. McAfee

John D. McAfee, 76 of Cottonwood, passed away at home on June 22, 2013. He was born on December 24, 1936 in Mesa, Arizona to Fred Agusta McAfee and Oleta Campbell. John worked for the Salt River Project. He attended Emmanuel Fellowship. He was a sports enthusiast and loved Elvis Presley and old Westerns. John enjoyed seeing people wherever he went: grocery store, pharmacy and his favorite restaurant Golden Dragon. This kind, thoughtful and gentle man will be deeply missed. The family is forever thankful to Northern Arizona Hospice and Harmony Homecare. John is survived by his wife of 15 years, Evangelyn McAfee; stepson Kim Johnson; stepdaughter Jan Buck (Rod); sister Jill Thomas (Jim) and uncle Rudy Campbell. There are no services planned.
