John Leslie Moore \u0027Chief\u0027, 75, of Cottonwood died August 8. He was born February 25, 1930 in Clovis, New Mexico. He attended Western State College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. At one time he worked as a substitute teacher and as a alcohol and detox rehabilitation counselor. Mr. Moore was retired from a career in the Navy where he served in Korea and Vietnam and obtained the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was a member of the Verde Valley Computer Club. He enjoyed web designing and loved to barbeque. Chief Moore is survived by his wife of 35 years, Miyako \u0027Mia\u0027 Moore; a son John L. Moore III of Boise, Idaho; a brother, Robert N.
