John Steenhoven

John Steenhoven, 78 of Cottonwood, passed away on August 4, 2011. He was born on December 24, 1932 in Orange City, Iowa to Nick and Johanna Steenhoven. John was a Staff Sergeant in the Marines during the Korean War. He worked for Greene\u0027s Ready Mix in Torrance, California . John is survived by his wife Lilyan Steenhoven of Cottonwood; daughters Debra Porter (Larry) of Cottonwood, Karen Newberg (Scott) of Fountain Valley, CA , Janice Acevedo (Frank) of Long Beach, CA , Valerie Darensburg (Jason) of Albuquerque, NM ; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
