Joyce Elizabeth (Kitts) Connelly passed away on Monday afternoon, July 20, 2015 in Cottonwood, Arizona. She died of natural causes surrounded by family. She was born on April 28th, 1940 in Rochester, New York, raised her family in Tempe, AZ, and eventually settled down in Camp Verde, AZ in January of 2000. After receiving her Master\u0027s in Education, she taught primary school and later became a Master Educator at Cornell University. She retired from teaching in 1968 and devoted her life to raising her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to everyone she met. Her devotion to and care for all living creatures, large or small, was the guiding principle for her life. She was a deeply spiritual woman and trusted in the Lord for all decisions. Her continual prayer was a conversation with Jesus. Her selfless heart, generosity, and compassion continue to be an example for each life she has touched. She encouraged those around her, became friends with everyone she met, and taught, by her life, the meaning of unconditional love. Joyce Connelly is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael John Connelly, and her loving family: Sean and Leanne, Tiana, Carley, Chloe; Rachel and Ronald, James, Marshon; Jeremiah and Tracey, Zac, Alexa; Maura and David, Taylor, Max, Maggie; Fabio and Trish, Sam, Ben, Ashley, Anthony; Carlos and Glenn, Mohammad; and her sister Carol Kitts.
