Juan Eduardo Magana

Juan Eduardo Magana, was taken into the arms of his Lord and Savior early Monday morning, August 11, 2008 at the tender age of 20. Juan is a life-time resident of Cottonwood, being born December 1, 1987. He was the son of Monica Magana. Juan attended Cottonwood Elementary, CMS, and Mingus Union High School. As a child he was involved in the Baseball Little League. As Juan grew into his teenage years, Juan participated in the Explorers through the Cottonwood Police Department. Though he did not stay in organized sports he was very athletic and kept himself physically active playing numerous sports with his family and friends. Besides being an extremely quick runner Juan also found break dancing to be another favorite activity-so much so, that he even performed for all those who attended the wedding of he and Ashley Osborn. Fishing was another thing that he did often and thoroughly enjoyed-as it was his late grandfather who took the time with him and his cousin Ernesto to teach them not only the skills of fishing, but the appreciation of it. Juan was an individual who found satisfaction in all that he did; professionally, he worked for FNF Construction/Contractors as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Juan was a hard worker who really liked his job. His love for operating heavy machinery such as; backhoes, bulldozers, scrapers, and loaders was what kept his work day fun. Most of all, Juan was an extremely family-oriented person. He loved his wife, adored his sons, and cherished all others within the family unity. Juan will be remembered most for his gift of being "Real"...he was always straight-forward, honest, loving, and caring...and he was generous-he was always willing to give up his own time to be there for those in need. He was a true friend. "Mijo, you will be greatly missed. Having known you will forever impact the lives of those who love you..." Juan is preceded in death by his brother, Julian Magana; his grandfather, Antonio "Chuck" Montoya; and his uncle, Ernesto Rojo, Jr. He leaves behind his wife, Ashley Osborn-Magana; his sons, Julian and Jeremiah Magana; his mother, Monica Magana (David Rodriquez); his sisters, Jordan Magana, Julie and Janika Salinas; his grandmothers, Connie Gonzales and Isabel Magana; grandfather, Richardo Romero; Great-grandmother, Esther Gonzales; two aunts, Carrie Zorrilla and Maggie Aceves; four uncles, Ernesto Zorrilla, Joe and Robert "Bobby" Blount, and Mario Ibarra; his cousins, Ernesto Jr., Zandra, Normalisia, Andres and Anissa Zorrilla- Mario Jr., Mercedes, and Mariah Ibarra- Mason and Kaytee Blount- Tanner Blount- and Phelani Rojo. He is also survived by his step-brother and sisters, David Jr., Rose, Christine, and Stefanie Rodriguez; his mother-in-law, Alexandra "Alex" Osborn; his sister-in-law, Hailey Osborn; as well as multiple other family members and endless friends.
