Julia L. Apodaca, 83, of Clarkdale passed away September 4, 2011. She was born January 9, 1928 in Williams, Arizona, the daughter of Panfilo and Teofila Lizardi. She went to Williams schools. Mrs. Apodaca worked for the Navajo Army Depot in Belmount. She cherished her family, her churches, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood and St. Joseph\u0027s Catholic Church in Williams. She enjoyed cake decorating, bowling, cards, dominos, bingo, grandmothers club and the rosary group. Mrs. Apodaca was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Ernesto and her daughter Palmira Apodaca. She leaves daughters, Patricia Maas (Fred) of Phoenix, Irene Hunkler (John) of Flagstaff and Jeanette Apodaca of Phoenix; brothers Carlos Lizardi and Joe Lizardi, both of Tucson; sisters Victoria Vargas (Gus) of Clarkdale and Mary Encinas of Hollister, California; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 9 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10 AM, Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 AM and the Funeral Mass at 11 AM.
