Karen Bowman Axiotis

Karen Bowman Axiotis, 73 of Cottonwood, passed away on November 13, 2013. She was born on February 7, 1940 in Columbus, NE to George and Gertrude Soden. Karen attended San Diego State for 4 years and received her Bachelors Degree. She worked as a Christian school teacher in CA and a houseparent at Rainbow Acres. She enjoyed synchronized swimming and being a lifeguard. Karen attended Verde Baptist Church. Karen loved being with her grandchildren, crafts and card making. Karen was preceded in death by her first husband Custer Axiotis (1961-1995) and second husband Greg Bowman (2000-2010). She is survived by son Troy Axiotis of Prescott Valley; daughters Melanie Lohmiller (Doug) Cottonwood and Denise Berg (Sam) of Prescott Valley; sister Shirley Jennings (Richard) of Iowa and 5 grandchildren. A service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10:30am at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood. Donations in Karen\u0027s name may be made to World Vision, P.O.
