Karen Irene (Taylor) Nielson-Burt

Karen Irene (Taylor) Nielson-Burt, 51, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006. She was born on April 29, 1954 in Provo, Utah to Gordon E. Taylor and Ida Irene (Gillies) Taylor-McDowell. She attended High School in American Fork, Utah for three years and then obtained her GED. Karen was an artist, she was very talented with floral and plant arrangements. She was an associate of the Association of Recovering Motorcyclists (A.R.M.). She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints (LDS), though she was not active. She enjoyed Indian artifacts, rocks, birds, Harley Davidson Motorcycles and her two special cats, Barker and Fancy. She found the most joy from her lovely children, step-children and grandchildren. Karen is preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmo and Jeneva Gillies. She leaves her husband of three years, Terry W. Burt of Cottonwood, Arizona; her children, Christopher Ryan Nielson with wife, Melinda, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Danielle Nielson of Pleasant Grove, Utah and Lacy Lynn Nielson of Las Vegas, Nevada; her step-children, Richard D. Burt, with wife, Stephanie, of Strongsville, Ohio and Amber R. Rosales with husband, Ricardo, of Lancaster, California; her mother, Ida Irene McDowell; her step-father, Dave McDowell; brother, Keith Taylor of Fairview, Utah; sisters, Kelly Tincher of Salt Lake City, Utah and Kristi Stevens with husband, Fred, of Langhorn, Pennsylvannia; step-sister, Karen K. Vostad with husband, Kent, of Volga, South Dakota; as well as 13 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 13, 2006 at 10:00am at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E.
