Kathleen Lenore Cantrell, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2007, at the age of 75. She was born March 1, 1932 in Montezuma, Kansas to DeVille and Leola (Trumbo) Abernathy, and grew up and graduated from High School in Jackson, Mississippi. Kathleen worked for and retired from Eatons Corporation as an automotive inspector. She was an astrologer, writer, and seamstress. She also enjoyed doing crafts. Kathleen is preceded in death by her daughter, Gayle Barrus who resided in Battle Creek, Mississippi. She leaves behind three sons, Steve with his wife, Doris of Battle Creek, Mississippi, Scott with his wife, Linda, also of Battle Creek, Mississippi, and Greg of Cottonwood, Arizona; three daughters, Gwen Stalo with her husband Steve of Cottonwood, Arizona, Barbara Moody of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Gloria Coger with her husband Larry of Battle Creek, Mississippi; two brothers, Neill Abernathy with his wife, Judy of Boise, Idaho, and Mike Abernathy with his wife, Libby of Kentwood, Louisiana; two sisters, Marolyn Klienert of St. Peter, Minnesota, and Carley Kissee with her husband, Bob of Rogersville, Missouri. She was also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 at Westcott Funeral Home at 1:00pm.
