Kathryn Roberts McIntyre

June 5, 1947 — April 18, 2004

Kathryn Roberts McIntyre, 56, of Clarkdale, Arizona passed away on Sunday, April 18th after a two year courageous battle with Melanoma cancer. She was born Kathryn Elaine Roberts on June 5, 1947 in East Moline, Illinois to Glynn and Betty Roberts. Upon completion of high school, Kathy entered the United States Army Women\u0027s Corps where she was a financial specialist. Kathy was a honor\u0027s graduate from Golden Gate University, California where she received the \u0027\u0027Outstanding Graduate\u0027\u0027 in the Masters Business Administration Banking program. She married Peter J. McIntyre on September 13, 1974 in Reno, Nevada. Kathy and Peter lived in Sunnyvale, California for 25 years before retiring to Clarkdale, Arizona in 1998. She is survived by her husband Pete of Clarkdale; her son Bryon, her two stepchildren Michael and Susan and three grandchildren, Lonnan, Nathan, and Brenan all residing in California. Kathy was one of ten siblings growing up in East Moline, Illinois. She is survived by her mother, Betty; half sister Judy Sowers; brothers, Bill, Jim, Dave, John and Barry of Illinois; brothers, Joe and Steven, and sister Rebecca Keehn, all of California. She will be most remembered by her crafting talents as well as her kindness and love for people. Beside being a master cook she would create lavish cross stitch artworks and multiple stuffed animals which she donated to charitable events. Kathy loved to decorate her own home much of which things were framed and painted by her own hands. The Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family with these arrangements. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 29th at the One in Christ Church, 208 S. Highway 260, Cottonwood at 10:30 AM. Donations in her memory may be made to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy lane, Cottonwood, AZ~86326.
