Kathy Thomas

Mary Kathryn Thomas, 66 of Cottonwood, passed away on November 19, 2011. She was born on January 2, 1945 in East St. Louis, IL to Earl and LaVerne Quernheim. Kathy attended Southern Illinois University for 5 years and received her Masters in Arts. She worked in administration at Southern Illinois University until December 1999 when she retired. Kathy was an avid hiker in Sedona. She traveled extensively world-wide. Her favorite was Switzerland. Kathy will be deeply missed by all her neighbors, friends and fellow hikers. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Earl and LaVerne. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 10:00am at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood.
