Keith E. Lombardi, 25, military resident of Germany and former resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Monday, 25 June 2007. Keith was born in Phoenix, Arizona on 19 June 1982. Keith attended and graduated Mingus Union High School; following which, he joined the Air Force on 12 July 2000; and on 19 November 2000 he married Angelee'. After basic training, he attended technical school at Kessler Air Force Base in Mississippi. Keith went to his first base, McChord Air Force Base in Washington, where he was selected as the Air Mobility Command Maintenance Support Airman of the Year. In addition, he was promoted to Senior Airman below-the-zone. On 5 May 2003, Keith was reassigned to Ramstein Air Base in Germany. He was assigned as a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory Craftsman in the Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment Flight, where he earned the Flight Maintenance Professional of the Year in 2005 and in 2006; he was also selected for Staff Sergeant his first year of testing. Keith was a vital member of the 86th Maintenance Squadron Team. His decorations include the Air Force Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster. Keith studied Tae Kwon Do and earned his black belt at the age of 12. More recently, he studied the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira. Keith will be most remembered as a true friend and wingman. Keith is survived by his wife, Angelee'; his parents, Doug and Tina Mets; and his grandparents, Tony and Lois Lombardi. A Visitation will take place at Westcott Funeral Home on Thursday, 5 July 2007 from 5:00-7:00pm, with the Rosary to begin at 6:00pm. The Funeral Mass will follow Friday, 6 July 2007 at 9:30am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with interment immediately afterwards at All Souls Cemetery.
