Kel Ferrell passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 7, 2009. He was born September 6, 1950 in Alamosa, Colorado to Dave and Betty Ferrell. He was a resident of Flagstaff until he entered the service. After graduating High School in Flagstaff, he joined the Marines and was sent to Vietnam. After serving our country he came home and went to work. He worked as a Mason and is responsible for many of the buildings we see in the Verde Valley. Kel loved his work and took pride in all he did! When Kel was not working he enjoyed hunting, fishing and teaching kids how to be kids. He had a passion for showing children how to enjoy being a child, but at the same time teaching them what they needed to know in life. When you met Kel you had a friend for life. Kel is survived by his life partner Debbie, his mother Betty Ferrell, two brothers Roy and Wayne, and a sister Marie. He is also survived by a daughter Jeniffer, a son Kel, six nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews. Kel will be missed by many but leaves behind lots of love, friendship, memories and people who are better because of knowing him. There are no public services planned.
