Kenneth Chester Balcomb, Jr. of Rimrock died November 10. He was born February 25, 1921 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was World War II veteran of Marine Corps where he was discharged as a Captain. Mr. Balcomb attended the University of New Mexico and received his LLB degree from the University of Colorado. He was a retired attorney. Mr. Balcomb was a member of the National Rifle Association, the American Handiman\u0027s Association, the Colorado and American Bar Associations and Ducks Unlimited. He was a lifelong hunter, outdoorsman and Labrador Retreiver owner. He was also a golfer, a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Balcomb appeared before the Supreme Court and was a water rights law specialist. He was preceded in death by his wife, M. Michelle Balcomb; sons, Scott (and his wife Janet) Balcomb of Glen Springs, Colorado; Mark (and his wife Lisa) Balcomb of Silt, Colorado; and Kenneth Balcomb III of Friday Harbor, Washington; a stepson, Scott Baker of Alabama; daughter, Katherine Balcomb Kippy (and her husband Dow) of Silt, Colorado; stepdaughter, Lori Strong; brothers, Edward Balcomb of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Robert Samuel Balcomb of Bremerton, Washington and John Douglas Balcomb of Wickenburg; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
