LaFord Whipple

LaFord E. Whipple, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2008 in Camp Verde at the age of 91. He was born on May 26, 1917 in Middletown, New York; where he grew up and graduated from the local high school. He was the son of Charles Whipple. Professionally, LaFord worked for and retired from Douglas Aircraft located in Long Beach, California as an Electrical Engineer. He was also an excellent oil-painter, and created many art pieces of beautiful landscapes. LaFord is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine B. Whipple; his brother-in-law, John D. Boyd; and his father. His only survivor is not only his sister-in-law, Joan C. Boyd, who was also his care-giver. Joan is a resident of Cottonwood. No local services will be held.
