Lavon Luan Wells, 78, passed away on September 13, 2012, at the Olivia White Hospice Home in Flagstaff, AZ, surrounded by her loving family. Lavon was born on September 17, 1934 in Moran, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents William Roy and Una Mary Jane Roberts and her loving husband of 52 years, Robert F Wells. She is survived by her only sibling Gordon (Evelyn) Roberts of Osawatomie, KS; three daughters Valerie Wells of Flagstaff, AZ, Natalie McNally (Thomas) of Winona, AZ, and Leslie Wells of Flagstaff, AZ; four granddaughters, Tarrah Hintz (Patrick) of Flagstaff, AZ, Jessica Parrison (Dennis) of San Diego, CA, Natasha McNally of Flagstaff, AZ and Erika McNally of Flagstaff, AZ; three great grandsons, Kaleb and Robert Hintz and Tyler Parrison; two nephews and one niece. Lavon retired in 1995 as the Administrative Assistant to the Provost at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, after 15 years of service. After retirement, Lavon and Bob moved to Cottonwood, AZ to be closer to their grandchildren. Lavon served the Cottonwood community by working at the Verde Valley Medical Center and volunteering at the Mission and the Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the Verde Valley Christian Church and the Verde Valley Voices. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 22, 2012 at 11:00am at the Village of Oak Creek Church of the Nazarene, 55 Rojo Drive, Sedona, AZ 86351 with a lunch to follow.
