Leland E. Paddock

Leland E. Paddock, 92, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2007. He was born September 18, 1914 in Redding, California to Ralph E. and Mabel C. (Duncan) Paddock. Leland attended Walla Walla College from 1934-1938, where he received his BS/BA degrees, and then continued his education at the Loma Linda University, graduating in 1947 with his Degree in Medicine. Dr. Paddock then opened his own family practice. He was proud to be a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country during WWII as a Captain. Leland was a lifetime member of the Rotary Club and the NRA. His enjoyments included beachcombing, and collecting Native American Artifacts and Japanese glass fishing floats. Dr. Paddock is preceded in death by his first wife of 62 years, Dorothy E. Walker; and his parents. He leaves behind his new bride of 3 years, Rose Paddock, of Cottonwood, Arizona; his son, Bruce A. Paddock of Sequim, Washington; his daughter, Christine Mitchell with her husband, Don of Cottonwood, Arizona; his step-sons, Lloyd A. Duncan with his wife, Janet of Portland, Oregon, and Loren E. Duncan with his wife, Rosalina of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his brothers, Lenard D. Paddock of Bellingham, Washington, and Dean A. Paddock with his wife, Diane of Orfino, Idaho; eight step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at 3:00pm at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in Cottonwood, where he a faithful member and the Religious Liberty Secretary for many many years.
