Leonard Rolland Bacon (known to his friends as "Lean Bacon"), 90, of Cornville passed away March 10, 2012. He was born August 2, 1921 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Rolland and Louise (Zimmerman) Bacon. He attended Elmhurst, Wisconsin schools. He was self employed as television and radio technician. He was a professional musician since the age of 16. Mr. Bacon played at the Grand Ole Opry and was inducted into the Greater Arizona Country Western Swing Music Association Hall of Fame. Not one to boast, he helped many musicians get their start in the business and encouraged many others not to give up when faced with adversity. His positive and caring attitude continues to be an inspiration to us all. We would like to think he will be jammin\u0027 with Chet and the boys. Rock on Dude! He leaves two daughters Jean Zable (George) of Jonesville, Wisconsin and Louise Dutton of Cornville. Other extended family members include nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A tribute to his life will be held on Sunday, March 18 in the Cornville Mission Food Bank at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers donation in his memory may be made to the Cornville Mission Food Bank, 155 S Page Springs Rd, Cornville, AZ, 85325 An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
