Lloyd Lancaster

January 28, 1925 — January 31, 2005

Lloyd Lancaster of Camp Verde passed away peacefully in his chair on January 31. He had just celebrated his 80th birthday on January 28th with a celebration of over 50 friends and family. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, he became a long time resident of Camp Verde, retiring after 40 years in the Operating Engineers. Survived by a sister Mildred Barrett of Paris, Texas and his two sons, Ernest Lancaster of Kansas City, Missouri and John Lancaster of Sedalia, Missouri; his daughter in law, Mary and two granddaughters, Madelyn and Lacey. Lloyd\u0027s friend of 60 years and business partner, Eddie January passed before him. Through his longtime friendship with Eddie and Linda January, Lloyd became a beloved and loyal uncle to the January children-Michael, Janalyn, Michelle and Dede. He was a private person with great integrity that everyone in Camp Verde came to know. He will be missed by all who knew him, but is now moving dirt in a better place. The family invites you to a Remembrance in the banquet room at the Rio Verde Restaurant on Tuesday, February 8 from 5-7 PM. Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family with these arrangements.
