Lois Jane "Janie" Marks, 81 of Cottonwood , passed away on June 26, 2011. She was born on May 22, 1930 in Vallejo , CA to Happy Chapman and Ruby Forstrom. Lois attended Flagstaff High School . She worked as a Medical Lab Tech for Dr. Ginn in Phoenix and at the hospital in Springerville. She worked as a banker at 1st Intestate in Springerville and also owned a tropical fish store. Lois belonged to Peace Lutheran and was a member of the choir. She loved clowning especially at rest homes and for kids parties. Her clown name was Jingles. She also loved to grow iris' and house plants. She loved choir, was a volunteer at Verde Valley Medical Center in the gift shop, collect kokopellis and beanie baby bears and traveling in her RV. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; step-mom Lois Chapman and sister Judy Chapman. She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Norman Marks; son Kenneth Ardry; daughters Karen Ardry of MacClenny, FL, Susan Schwartzlander of Wyoming, MI, and Ellen Slade (Dave) of Eagar, AZ; brother Jim Chapman (Carol) of Palisade, CO; step-sons Bryon Marks (Cheryl) of Parma, MI, Mike Marks (Kim) of Seminole, FL and Andy Marks (Shannon) of Parma, MI; step-daughter Tami Angus (Dave) of Gilbert, AZ; 11 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, July 9th at 11:00am at Peace Lutheran Church in Cottonwood . Contributions may be made to the Peace Lutheran Audio/Video Fund, 1450 E.
