Lola Belle Ward, 86 of Cottonwood, Arizona passed away on April 27, 2013. Lola Belle was born on October 2, 1926 in Lake Norden, SD to Merrill and Bernice Williams and was one of eleven children. She married the love of her life, Warren Ray Ward on February 14, 1946. Early years of their marriage were spent in Bowling Green, Ohio. In 1963 they moved to Phoenix, AZ and resided there until they retired in 1985 and moved to the Verde Valley. She loved spending her summers at their cabin in Flagstaff. She was a talented artist, loved music, energetic and always ready for an adventure. Her laughter and smile will never be forgotten. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Ray; daughters Carol (Raymond) Laird of Bryan, TX and Barbara (Michael) Herrick of Cottonwood; sons Douglas Ward of Cave Creek, AZ and Dwight Ward of Cottonwood. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren and many friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Private family services will be held.
