Loneta Janica, 87, of Cottonwood died June 8. She was born March 9, 1920 in Dallas, Texas and was raised by Bill and Lily Hurd. She was a graduate of Spon Nursing Hospital, earning a degree as a Licenced Vocational Nurse. She worked as a nurse in Texas at Spon Hospital. She Ms. Janica later worked as office manager for the City of San Diego Water Distribution Office. A concert pianist, she also was a music teacher and played at a lot of churches including the Lexington Lutheran Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. She raised foster kids and was known to be fiesty and a lot of fun. Preceding her in death are her husband, Franklin Sklra-Janica, son F. Robert Janica, daughters Frances Ann Janica and Marcia Ann Janica-Stanley. She is survived by a son, Edward F. Janica of Cornville; six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
