Loren C. Hahn, 89, resident of Cottonwood and former resident and businessman of Hamburg, New York, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2007. He was the son of Clarence and Anna Hahn of Hamburg, born October 19, 1917 in Hamburg, New York. Loren graduated from Hamburg High School in 1938 and later served with the U.S. Army in Europe from 1942 to 1945. Mr. Hahn founded and operated Loren C. Hahn Plumbing and Heating in the village of Hamburg for more than 38 years until his retirement in 1983. Mr. Hahn also founded and operated Western Tier Associates in Hamburg, which was a firm focusing on Investment Planning Services. Loren was a life member of the Lions International, and of the Town of Hamburg Lions Club. Upon his retirement, Mr. Hahn and his wife, Laura, relocated to Cottonwood, where they traveled extensively throughout the southwestern U.S. and Mexico. Loren enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing. He is predeceased by his parents; his brother, Jack; and his son, Gregory. Loren leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Laura of Cottonwood; his son Terry of Phoenix; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mrs. Ruth Barrett of Hamburg.
