Louis Edwin Starkey, 69, of Cottonwood died April 29. He was born April 3, 1940 in Jerome, the son of Ed and Dorothy Starkey. He attended Clarkdale schools and Arizona State University. Mr. Starkey worked for Fann Contractors. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Mission Catholic Church where he served as an altar boy. An avid fisherman and hunter and guide, he received many B.A.S.S. trophies. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Jane Norton Starkey and his parents. Mr. Starkey is survived by sons, Louis E. Starkey, Jr. and Evan Zachary Starkey both of Cottonwood; daughters, Bonnie K. Starkey-Garciullo of Las Vegas, Nevada and Ginger A. LaRoche-Roth of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters Jane Allen of Globe, Patricia Fairfield of Austin, Texas, Mary Evelyn Beal of Los Angeles, California, and his fishing buddy \u0026 nephew, Jeffrey Allen of Flagstaff and seven grandchildren.
