Lourdes A. Nicolas, 86, of Cottonwood died December 26. She was born February 17, 1921 in the Philippines, the daughter of Amando S. and Rosario C. Alto. A graduate of University of Sto. Tomas, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Mrs. Nicolas worked as Chief Pharmacist for the Metro Drug Corporation. She laso had worked for the Benquet-Dizon Mines, both in the Philippines. She will be remembered as the best, most kind, loving and understanding wife one can ever have. Her daughter Mary Ann remembers that "Mom had this incredible faith in prayers". Her granddaughter Danielee remembers that "Grandma always had a smile for everybody". Mrs. Noicolas enjoyed playing the piano, reading, listening to classical and easy listening music. Bestowing love on her grandchildren gave her great happiness. Two sisters, Carmen A. Gonzales and Angelita A. Torres preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Salvador Nicolas; a daughter Mary Ann N. Bonfig (and her husband Daniel ) of Cottonwood; three sisters, Zenaida C. Alto of California, Corazon A. Bolunia (and her husband Dominador) of the Philipinnes, Natividad A. Ramirez (and her husband Roland) of the Philippines; and two grandchildren.
