Loyd Weaver, 81, of Sedona, Arizona was a B-27 navigator during WWII. He married June Lauglin of Cheyenne, WY in 1946 and adopted daughter Kathy in 1958. Loyd worked as an Industrial Plumbing Inspector for the City of Pheonix for about thirty years. Retired in 1984, he move to Sedona, Arizona. Lyod loved loading up the children for gold panning, fishing and camping trips. He was a much published freelance writer who loved square dancing, dogs and casinos. He was also an avid reader. He was born in Atkins, Arkansas in 1924 and raised by his country storekeeper in family in Bilow, Arkansas. Loyd had a great sense of humor and was full of life with a passion for adventure. He will be missed and remembered by sons and their families - Robert Weaver of Texas, Richard of Phoenix; Gary and Steve of Sedona and daughter Kathy Walsh of Casa Grande, Arizona. He is survived by wife June. They celebrated 58 years of marriage. There are 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. His youngest son Kenney died in 1973. Loyd left us all happy memories and recollections of his funny tales of his gold panning adventures. Please join us in a prayer that this, his last trip, will be as joyful as his earthly experiences.
