Luke Michael Lerette, 32, passed away on June 17, 2012, but not before touching time and family with his presence. He was born on September 20, 1979, in Cottonwood, Arizona, where he aspired to excel in competitive swimming. He was the first swimmer to compete at the state level representing Mingus Union High School at ASU. He would later become coach and mentor for future aquatic athletes. He taught himself Japanese, learned to salsa dance, and researched theology, sociology, and philosophy. He loved the outdoors, running, hiking and hunting with family. Luke had an enormous capacity for love, life and family. He will be greatly missed.
