Mack Davis, age 88, resident of Camp Verde, Arizona, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006. He was born February 17, 1918 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Jesse Grover and Margaret Emalene (Mack) Davis. Mack worked a variety of jobs. Some included packing lettuce and cantaloupes in Yuma Valley, Partner with Richfield Station in Somerton, Arizona, and in 1944 he joined the teamsters-local 87. Following, Mack devoted some 30 odd years in road construction and retired from Bectel as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Mack's favorite past-times were hunting and fishing. Mack is preceded in death by his wife, Lola Davis. He is survived by his daughters, Maxine Davis of Tempe, Arizona, and Margaret (Winston) Brown of Phoenix, Arizona; his brother, Harry (Alice) Davis of Yuma, Arizona; his sisters, Dorothy Calhoun of Cornelius, Oregon, Verda Nelson and Ruth Duncan of Yuma, Arizona; his grandsons, Stacey Courrier of Tempe, Arizona, Jerry and Terry Brown of Phoenix, Arizona; his great-grandson, Jerry Dean Brown, Jr. of Scottsdale, Arizona; as well as many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary in Yuma, Arizona on Thursday, December 14, 2006 from 5:00-8:00pm. A Graveside Service will follow Friday morning, December 15, 2006 at 10:00am at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1415 S. 1st Ave., in Yuma.
