Margie Easton

Margie Easton,90, a resident of Cottonwood for the past three years, died November 18. She was born in the home at Rural Route, Ayrshire, Iowa on October 28, 1914. In her early years, she lived in Curlew, Iowa and worked at the hotel. Margie left Iowa for work in St.Louis and attended business college at Chillicothe, Missouri. The rest of her career was acoomplished in Chicago. Margie worked at the Edgewater Beach Hotel and the Sheraton-Chicago Hotel. She retired to Champaign, Illinois and in 1998 moved to Tucson. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert A. Easton; mother, Ingle Shupfer Easton; brothers Guy J. Easton and Raymond A. Easton. Surviving are her sister, Jane E. Easton of New York City and maternal aunt, Margaret M. Burns of Cottonwood. Among the qualities she will be remembered for were her perseverance and great sense of humor.
