Maria Dolores “Lola” Ramos Ryan

Maria Dolores “Lola” Ramos Ryan, 81, died February 13 after a brief illness at her home in Cottonwood, AZ. Dolores was born November 4, 1939 to Perfecto and Rufina Ramos in Saucillo, Chihuahua Mexico. In 1956 she married Edward Ryan Jr and they lived in Reserve, NM, Flagstaff, AZ and Silver City, NM. In May 2020 she moved to Cottonwood to be near her daughters.

Dolores will be lovingly remembered as a mother, Nana, and friend to many. She had a passion for quilting and she was a wonderful cook, loved far and wide for her chili, tamales, and tortillas. Her beautiful smile, open heart, and sense of humor made everyone feel like family in her warm presence.

Dolores’ life will forever be cherished by her children Darlene Ryan (Peter Rosenthal) of Flagstaff; Rosemary (Bob) Estupiñan of Redlands, CA; Ed (Jackie) Ryan of Hollister, CA; Randy (Dawn) Ryan of Silver City, NM; Liz (JR) Cordova of Flagstaff; and Shelly (Keith) Breunig of Flagstaff, as well as eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, four sisters and four brothers. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and brother Tobias Ramos.
