Maria Minerva Jeffries

Maria Minerva Jeffries, 62, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2007. She was born November 15, 1944 in El Paso, Texas. She was the daughter of Arturo and Maria (Diaz) Guzman. Maria attended and graduated from the Clarkdale/Jerome schools. Following high school she went on to the Bryman School of Nursing; where she was at the top of class. Maria worked in the Health Care Profession, and she also cooked. She was an outgoing individual, and she always had an adventurous approach to life. She enjoyed fishing and camping; and she loved to dance. Maria was an avid Raiders and Yankees fan! She also loved Ford pickup trucks. Maria was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by many. She is preceded in death by her God-Parents, Manual Vazquez and Soledad "Sadie" Vazquez. She was the devoted mother of Art (Willow), Jason, Jeremy Nicolas, and Teresa; the adored grandmother of 9; the loving daughter of Maria Rodriguez; and the sister of David (Kathleen), Albert, Michael, Richard, Maria, and Sylvia. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 13, 2007 at 11:00am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where Maria was a member of faith.
