Marion Pearl Smith, 86, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away Monday, August 28, 2006. She was born in Arkdale, Wisconsin on December 27, 1919 to Carl John and Hannah Otilda (Rosgaard) Holm. During her lifetime, Marion held a variety of jobs, and fulfilled various positions - some of which included working at a munitions plant, hotels, canning companies, a bakery, in the shipping department of Heil Company where they built dump trucks, and as a maid. Once she married and became a mother, Marion was fortunate enough to be able to stay home and raise her children. Homemaker and housewife were the roles she cherished. Marion was a tough, strong woman - a hero to her children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Smith; her son, Orlando Paul Storman; and her parents. Marion leaves behind her daughter, Nancy James and her husband Curtis of Cottonwood, Arizona; step-son, Roy Smith with his wife Nancy of Prescott Valley, Arizona; brother, Oscar Holm of Dellwood, Wisconsin; sister, Helen Holm; and her only grandchild, James "Jim" Lytle. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 from 6:00-8:00pm at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., in Cottonwood, Arizona. Funeral Services will follow Thursday morning, August 31, 2006 at 10:00am at the Faith Lutheran Church, 2021 E. Fir St., in Cottonwood, Arizona.
