Marshall D. Case Jr., 85, went to meet his Savior September 13, 2014. He was born February 20, 1929 in Swartz, Louisiana the son of Marshall and Ila Case. He graduated from Northwestern Bible College in 1950. While there he met and married Jean (Phillips), his wife of 66 years. Marshall\u0027s life was devoted to pastoral and missionary work. He was involved in missionary training in California and Pennsylvania with New Tribes Mission and pastored a church in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. Then he began preparing to go to the mission field. The Cases were called to missionary service in 1964 and served as missionaries in Honduras, Central America for forty two years. While there he established churches and a medical clinic. He also traveled throughout the country mentoring pastors. He moved to Cottonwood in 2006. Marshall served as chaplain at Verde Valley Medical Center and he also began a work with the Hispanic community. He pastored the Iglesia Cristiana Hispana which was a part of Verde Baptist. His heart was with his Hispanic ministry until the day the Lord called him home. He deeply loved his congregation. "God our Savior wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity--the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time." 1 Timothy 2:4-7 A memorial service celebrating Marshall\u0027s life will be held at Verde Baptist Church, 102 S Willard St, Cottonwood on October 4, 2014 at 10:00am. He will be missed by his wife Jean Case: his brother Noah (Joyce) Case of Monroe, LA: his four children: David (Alicia) Case of Waukesha, WI; Jeanine (Dan) Peterson of Cottonwood, AZ; Kevin (Wendy) Case of Chihuahua, Mexico and Colleen (Steve) Thuemling of Sussex, WI: his nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. His parents, and his sister, Eva Jean Elahi, preceded him to Glory.
