Marty R. Fisher, 75, of Cottonwood died November 19, 2012. He was born January 3, 1937 in Durango, Colorado, the son of Melvin and Allyne Fisher. He was a graduate of the Naval Academy. He served his country as Lieutenant Commander in the Navy in Vietnam. He was a Naval Officer, a carpenter, and an investigator for the Inspector General. Mr. Fisher was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish. He enjoyed gardening, carpentry, traveling, reading and history. Marty will be missed by all of his family and friends. His family adds: "We love you, Marty". He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Edith Fisher, sisters Eula and Patti, brothers Dave, Eddie, John, Henry and Bobby. Mr. Fisher leaves his sons, David of Los Angeles, California and Robert (Holly) of Ridgecrest, California; brothers Don (Lu)of Cottonwood and Larry (Karen) Virginia; sisters Hazel Klootwyk of Cottonwood, Olela Jones of Utah, Yvonne Utzat (Gunther) of Flagstaff, Marna Jones (Bill) of Phoenix, Shirley Sanchez (Don) of Pueblo, Colorado and Sandy Randolph of Farmington, New Mexico; three grandchildren, Rayne, Chapin and DeClan Fisher of Ridgecrest, California. He also leaves his dog Mica, whom he loved dearly. No public services are planned.
