Marvin H. Martin, 78, of Cottonwood died January 14. He was born July 13, 1929 in Whittier, California, the son of Ambrose Reuben Martin and Vera Gladyse (Blossom) Martin. He was a graduate of Whittier schools and Fullerton Junior College. Mr. Martin worked for Mobil Oil Company. He was a gospel quartet singer with the Calvarymen and a member of the Verde Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Doris; two sons, David Martin (and his wife Debbie) of Chino Hills, California and Dwight Martin (and his wife Renee) of Littleton, Colorado; a daughter, Sandy Lee (and her husband Craig) of Whittier, California; a sister, Pauline Maddox of San Bernardino, California; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Westcott Funeral Home on Thursday, January 17 at 2 PM. A memorial service will be held at the Verde Baptist Church, Friday January 18 at 11 AM.
