Marvin A. Mooney, 76, of Cottonwood died March 8. He was born June 6, 1928 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was educated in St. Joseph and worked as manager for Bingham Equipment selling farm equipment. Mr. Mooney enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an Army veteran. He leaves his wife of 52 years, Twila Joy Mooney; two sons, Marvin M. Mooney, Jr. of Oakhurst, California and Thomas John Mooney of Cottonwood; two daughters, Paula Jesness of Franklin, Massachusetts and Carolyn Tapo of Phoenix; a brother, William Mooney of St. Joseph, Missouri and a sister, Tootie Shuske of Los Angeles, California; and five grandchildren. A Military burial service will be held on Thursday, March 18 in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, (Cave Creek) Phoenix at 11 AM. Westcott Funeral Home is serving the family.
