Mary Jo Hobby, 78, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006 at The Peaks in Flagstaff, Arizona. She was born on July 4, 1927 in Phoenix, Arizona to Henry and Lena Helm. Mary was a member of the Church of the Resurrection. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and travel. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, William Harrison Hobby; her sister, Sallie Ann Brach; and her mother, Lena Ardrey. She is survived by her sons; William Howard Hobby, with wife Carol, of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Patrick Wesley Cravey of Phoenix, Arizona; her daughters, Mary Alice Hobby of Flagstaff, Arizona; her brother, Dale Helm of Tonopah, Arizona; her sister, Maxine Ricke, with husband, John of Chandler, Arizona; and her brother-in-law, Tony Brach of Loma, Colorado. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 11:00am at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., in Cottonwood, Arizona. In her memory, contributions can be made to either the American Cancer Society, 2724 East Lakin, Suite 9, Flagstaff, AZ, 86001 or to the Alzheimerts Association, 225 Grove Ave., Suite B, Prescott, AZ, 86301.
