Mary T. Montgomery

Mary T. Montgomery, 88, of Cottonwood died Monday, February 7, 2011. She was born March 4, 1922 in Santa Monica, California, the daughter of John A. and Helen Coan Tenney. She attended Santa Monica High School and worked for General Telephone Company. Mrs. Montgomery was a member of the Verde Valley Presbyterian Church. She was a stained glass artisan who also enjoyed bookbinding and woodcarving. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Clifford Montgomery; sons David (Rena) of Seattle, Washington and John (Debbie) of Laguna Hills, California; daughter Peggy (Boyd) of Thousand Oaks, California and grandsons John Parker and Wade Taylor, both of Thousand Oaks, California. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 11 in the Verde Valley Presbyterian Church at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Verde Valley Presbyterian Church, 1500 E.
