Mathew G. Nardiello

Mathew G. Nardiello, 85, of Sedona died March 1, 2010 in Cottonwood. He was born April 22, 1924 in Queens, New York, the son of Michael and Jennifer Nardiello. He was a graduate of Newtown High School in New York. He served as a corporal in the Marine Corps during World War II where he served in the artillery and was a sharpshooter. Mr. Nardiello worked as a lineman and inspector for Consolidated Edison in New York. He was a member of St. Hugh\u0027s Catholic Church in Huntington, New York and St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Sedona. His interests included baseball, history, movies, the wild West, the United States and gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife Grace and brother Michael. Mr. Nardiello leaves a son Stephen of Sedona. A visitation will b held on Wednesday, March 10 in the Westcott Funeral Home from 4-6 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 11 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood at 11 AM.
