Matthew W. ''Matt'' Hutchinson

Matthew William Hutchinson, 27, of Cottonwood, Arizona died on December 31st after being involved in an automobile accident. He was born July 2, 1977 in Lynchburg, Virginia to William Frank and Vicki (Bohstedt) Hutchinson. Matt was a graduate of Mingus Union High School in Cottonwood, and he graduated from Southwestern Bible College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies. At the time of his death Matt was serving as an Intern Pastor at Verde Baptist Church. He also had worked as a video store manager, a pharmacy technician and a cook. He enjoyed writing, and had written a novel, poetry, drama and movies. Matt is survived by his mother Vicki Hutchinson, a sister Angela Hutchinson and a brother Jeremy Hutchinson all of Cottonwood. A visitation will be held Friday, January 7th in the Verde Baptist Church from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 8th in the Verde Baptist Church at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery. The Hutchinson Family Memorial Fund has been established at M \u0026 I Bank and at Wells Fargo Bank, and donations may be made statewide or at the Verde Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Westcott Funeral Home.
