Melvin David Boda

"Life is a flicker of an eyelash" Melvin David Boda was born January 24, 1929 in Fon du Lac Wisconson. He entered into the Navy in 1946 and served 3 years. He then married his life time mate of 60 years and moved to Southern California where they lived and raised 3 children for the next 30 years. Mel retired after working 30 years as a top salesman for Bridgford Foods. He and his wife moved to Cottonwood, AZ where theey had built a home in 1994 and they celebrated thier final years there for 17 years. Mel is survived by his sister, Marlene Fiekema of Garden Grove, CA; his two sons Steven Boda of San Jose, CA and Mark Boda of Phelan, CA and his daughter, Renee Olson of Cottonwood, AZ. "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was, and the Spirit shall retun unto God who gave it." Eccl 12:7 A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 4 in the Westcott Funeral Home at at 12 noon. A reception will follow in the funeral home reception room.
