Melvin Verhoff, of Happy Jack, passed away on September 9, 2015. He was born April 30, 1943, to Alfred and Mary Verhoff in Ottawa, Ohio. He married his loving wife Katie on May 6, 1967, who survives in Happy Jack, AZ. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Gordon (Sharon) Verhoff and Leroy (Janet) Verhoff both of Glandorf, OH, 2 sisters, Mary Ann Siebeneck of Leipsic, OH, Darlene Verhoff of Chandler, AZ and Danielle Thompson of CA who was like a granddaughter to him. He is preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Verhoff and a sister, Patricia Schroeder and parents Alfred and Mary Verhoff. Melvin built and operated the Stadium Club in Chandler, AZ for 17 years. He was Small Business Man of the Year in Chandler, AZ in 2002. He was active in several charities, including Boys and Girls Clubs of AZ and the Police Toy Drive. After retirement, he moved to Happy Jack in northern AZ. Funeral services are at noon on September 18, 2015 at Blue Ridge Community Church, Happy Jack, AZ.
