Menica (Mickey) Peterson

Menica "Mickey" Peterson passed away peacefully April 18, 2011 in Tucson , Arizona . She was born on April 27, 1917 in Calumet , Michigan . Menica is preceded in death by parents Domenic and Mary Beneitone; husband Raymond Peterson; brothers Louis and Jack (Helen) and grandchildren Virginia and Dominic. Menica is survived by brother Raymond (Carol) Beneitone; daughter Pat Kowalowski of Tucson ; son Andrew (Judy) Peterson of Jerome; grandchildren Sherri (Scott) Tarran. Steven Hunt, Mary (Steven) Haase and Andrew Peterson; 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Doris and nieces and nephews. Mickey lived in Jerome , AZ for 64 years and worked at many jobs; the last being manager for the Mine Museum . She belonged to C.S.O., Historical Society and many other organizations. She sang in the choir in the Catholic Church. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed watching all sports; the latest being Diamond Backs and U. of A. Mens Basketball. Mickey also had many picnics on Mingus Mountain and Oak Creek . She also enjoyed baking Christmas cookies. She was dedicated to her family and taught us to honor and respect each other. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 11:00am at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood . Burial will take place at Valley View Cemetery .
