Michael Roy Procknow, resident of Rimrock, Arizona, passed away at the age of 57 on Monday, March 12, 2007 in Cottonwood. Mike was born on August 4, 1949 in Petoskey, Michigan. He attended primary school through high school in Afton and Indian River, Michigan. He then went on to North Central Petoskey College where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business. Mike was a member of the Montezuma Chapel in Rimrock, Arizona, and a long time resident of the Beaver Creek Community. Michael was a licensed general contractor for most of his life. He enjoyed being troop leader of the Rimrock and Lake Montezuma Boy Scout Troop 8 for three years. Mike also enjoyed hiking, fishing, and tending to his vegetable garden. He was dearly loved by his family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Maxine Procknow; and his father, Cletus Carl Procknow. He is survived by his wife of 33 ½ years, Sharron Procknow of Rimrock, his sons, Samuel Procknow with his wife, Tiffany of Rimrock, Casey Procknow with Sybil Rogers of Rimrock, and Joshua Procknow with his wife, Jamie of Camp Verde; his daughters, Katherine "Lacy" Procknow, and Sarah Procknow both of Rimrock; his brothers, Cletus "Butch" Procknow with his wife, Marcia of La Quinta, CA, Stanley Procknow with his wife, Cheryl of Afton, MI; his sisters, Suzie Brown with her husband, Leon, and Nancy Penfold with her husband, Wayne all of Cheboygan, MI. Michael was also the proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life-Memorial Service will be held at the Montezuma Chapel in Rimrock at 3450 E.
