Michael Thomas Welch, 64 of Camp Verde , passed away on February 20, 2011. He was born on May 29, 1946 in Cincinnati , Ohio to Gaylord and Leila Welch.. Michael attended Buckeye Elementary School and Maryvale High School . He served in the Army during Vietnam . Michael was an iron worker at Marython Steel. He was a custom cabinet/furniture maker and did custom woodwork for Cliff Castle Casino. He enjoyed all iron and wood work. He also owned Michael\u0027s Wood Shop in Camp Verde. The most special accomplishments were building a castle on the hill for his family to enjoy and his 42 years of marriage to his beautiful bride Linda. Michael is survived by his mother Gale of Camp Verde; wife Linda Sue Welch; son Michael Gene Welch (Dawna) of Sedona; daughters Crystal Rene Welch of Payson and Debbie Lefler of North Carolina; brother Gaylord Welch (Chris) of Phoenix; sister Connie Welch of Camp Verde; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at the Town Ramada, 75 E. Holloman St. on Sunday, March 6 at 1 PM. A reception will follow at the Verde Valley Restaurant.
